UVS is seeking a full-time surgeon to join our exciting new practice located just 7 miles south of downtown Pittsburgh (Peters Township). This person must be motivated and a leader, with interest and ability in soft-tissue and orthopedic procedures.

We are looking for a surgeon who wishes to build and grow a program to represent their specialty and meet the needs of pets in the region. Our locum surgeons are currently cutting over 50 cases per month on a part-time basis. Our small animal team consists of 24-hour trauma and emergency services along with internal medicine, surgery, oncology, dentistry, and canine rehabilitation, with further specialties to be added to the working team as soon as possible.
Our modern state-of-the-art facility features a 16-slice helical GE optima CT Scanner, full in-house lab, underwater treadmill, three fully equipped ORs (bipolar, monopolar, Force Triad, Synthes locking and non-locking orthopedic equipment etc), together with a 24/7 ER service and boarded criticalist to support the surgical service. We plan to introduce fluoroscopy and rigid endoscopy to support any surgeon interested in minimally invasive therapeutics.
