We are excited to announce that Dr. Amanda Della Penna has been promoted to Chief of Staff at University Veterinary Specialists!
In this new role, Dr. Della Penna will coordinate the actions of the medical personnel with direction from our Chief Veterinary Medical Officer Dr. Dimitri Brown.
Additionally, she will manage the clinical staff, provide leadership to specialty services, and continue to raise the bar for emergency and specialty veterinary care.
Amanda Della Penna, DVM is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bethany College where she was a Presidential Scholar. Dr. Della Penna has practiced veterinary medicine in the Pittsburgh area in both general practice and emergency care. Before coming to University Veterinary Specialists she served as the medical director of another hospital, and has been with UVS in the role of an emergency veterinarian since our opening in 2016.
